The Aide-de-camp(ADC) to the Governor of Abia State, Moses Chigoziem and four other police officers has been promoted from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police(ASP) to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP).
The other officers include, Aguwa Goodluck - Escort Commander to the Governor, Okejim Desmond Chukwuma - Escort Commander to the Wife of the Governor, Chukwudi Joshua Nnanna - Administration Officer Security, Government house and Nnaji Peter Ekwe.
Governor Alex Otti while decorating the officers, congratulated them on their promotion, describing it as a product of hardwork and grace of God.
"Let me start by thanking God for your promotion. Sometimes, when we are promoted, the tendency to appropriate the promotion as it's something that happened because we worked hard, of course you must have worked hard to be found in the circle of those that will be promoted.
"But you will also agree with me that there may have been a lot of other people that worked hard, maybe more harder but were not even shortlisted, not to talk of being amongst the people that are promoted", Gov. Otti said.
He urged them to see their new ranks as a call to higher duty, adding that much is expected of them so as to justify the confidence reposed in them.
The State Chief Executive commended the newly promoted officers for their hardwork and willingness to serve whenever they are beckon on and encouraged them to continue to discharge their duties diligently.
Responding on behalf of others, the ADC to the Governor, Moses Chigoziem thanked God for seeing them thus far, and expressed gratitude to Governor Alex Otti for giving them the opportunity to work and learn from him.
