PRESIDENT TINUBU APPLAUDS GOVERNOR OTTI'S EXCELLENT LEADERSHIP PERFORMANCE

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commissioned Queens Street, Jubilee and Omoba Roads rehabilitated by the administration of Governor Alex Otti.

The event which is President Tinubu's first commissioning of a road constructed by the current set of Governors in Nigeria, marks the 9th road being commissioned in Aba since Gov. Otti took over the governance of Abia State eight months ago.
Speaking at the ceremony the President represented by the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima emphasized that quality leadership is essential for the development and transformation of any society, adding that the people of Abia are witnessing democracy dividends under the present administration of Governor Otti.
President Tinubu noted that the accomplishments of Governor Otti has brought development in Abia, and expressed optimism that many great things would come to the people of the State.
"Within the last nine months, people of Abia State have witnessed a change in their fortunes. We are quite proud of the accomplishments of his Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR. He has brought to bear his wealth of experience, intellect and exposure to the development of Abia State. Abia is Working", Tinubu said.
In his earlier remark, the Governor Dr. Alex Otti said the rehabilitation of the roads aimed at giving the people unhindered access to all parts of the State is in line with his administration's promise to develop all parts of the State.
Governor Otti who revealed that the roads are strategic to the development of the State, said the Omoba road leads to the two major local government areas of Aba South and Obingwa, while the Queens Street rehabilitated in about six months of his administration leads to the General hospital and other strategic business centers in Aba.
The Governor while noting that the roads were built according to quality specifications with streetlights, drainages and storm water channels to the Aba river, assured that the roads would stand the taste of time.
He thanked the Presidency and the people of the State for the support given him since assumption of office as Governor of Abia State, as well as the contractors for working tirelessly to deliver the roads on time.
